Yard Sale Saturday

Alright, I admit it. I went to yard sales this morning, after thrifting, yesterday. I got the above basket to use as a shadow box. I've already got a nest in it. Now, I need to look around the find what else I want to use in it...Any suggestions?
I also picked up this mirror for a song. It has a beautiful walnut finish and pretty woodwork.
Anyone else go yard sale-ing today?

Love,
Elizabeth

Oh Elizabeth!! I love the idea of you using the basket as a shadow box!! You can clip papers to the back with little clothespins or with wire! Maybe a pretty botanical drawing of a bird! Don't you just love finding treasures? wishing you a wonderful Saturday, xxoo, Dawn

I am just not 'crafty' so can never see these things like you and obviously Dawn can. But I can see you are on your way. Nice mirror by the way...now that I could use.

No 'saleing' for me today....nope...hot kitchen making apple buns...want to come for tea later?

hey ...you are right there....
you can ask me recipes on my personal blog...I will test it in my chem lab blog first and then post to Mennonite Girls Can Cook one later...but it is no problem if you ask one place or another.

Lets see if they turn out...many interruptions today including a repair man that got stuck behind my washing machine...worth a post don't you think?!
