Friends and Visitors,

I am taking a computer hiatus. I am taking the beast in for repairs today and I hear that I won't get the darn thing back for a couple of weeks because it is being shipped to the manufacturer. Will visit blogs as I can from the library computer.

Wishing all a blessed Easter and Spring.

Dear Friends and Visitors,

I haven't blogged in a week due to some computer problems. I may have to take in this pesky machine..Tomorrow, my daughter, Sarah, has an audition for a talent show early in the morning. Wish her well and I will let you know.

More later...

Cats on Tuesday and I'm Dreamin' of Spring

Gattina is hosting Cats on Tuesday today. I have a few photos I'd like to share.
Timmy and Sunny (long hair) aren't brothers, but you wouldn't know that by seeing them.
They love to play and cuddle together. They are about a year apart in age and it was a little rough going when we first introduced them to each other, because Sunny, the younger cat, was a rascal. But as he matured they have grown very close.

They are my little cuddle bugs. Love them!

Today, the snow is melting. The sun is out and I am singing a Spring song. I'm dreaming of my veggie garden that needs to be tilled this week and of Spring planting. I'm dreaming of warm days and soft summer nights, of children playing in the backyard and BBQs with friends.

Oh, how I long for brightness and warmth.

Have a great day!

My Dancing Princess

This past weekend, my daughter opened in her first play, "The Twelve Dancing Princesses". This is her middle school's production and it is incredibly fun. Sarah is April, one of the princesses and she is having a ball camping it up and singing.
The costumes are great and the set is adorable. Wish I had taken more pictures. The backdrops were painted by a professional artist who donated 180 hours making them. They were a sight to behold.
Each princess has her own personality. Princess April (as in April showers..) cries a lot.
I'm so happy that Sarah's first play could be such a good experience.

As for the rest of the weekend, we didn't attend the St. Paddy's Day festivities on Saturday because of the cold and wet weather. Sunday, we awoke to a winter wonderland outside, with trees, bushes and homes puffy and white from a good six inches or more of snow.

I need Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to worry, Thursday it's suppose to be sunny and 60 degrees. Oh, I can't wait.

Are you getting Spring fever?

Michelle's Lentil Soup

I just have to share a wonderful lentil soup recipe that I found in Blogland...

I followed the link on Emma's Blog, Charming the Birds from the Trees. Emma is Orthodox Christian and doesn't eat meat during the Lenten season. She has the greatest non-meat recipes. Anyway, I made the lentil soup (above) and it was fantastic!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Cheers!

Don't you just feel happy looking at these bright and cheerful colors?
Such whimsy...
