Show and Tell Friday

Hey, Ladies!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday, hosted by Kelli at There's No Place Like Home. Today, I am sharing two of my favorite art prints from my home...

Below is a beautiful picture of a bride, signing the church registry on her wedding day. This was originally a gift bag that was given to me during my lovely bridal shower. I loved the picture so much that I had it matted and framed. Now, it hangs above my bureau in the master bedroom.
The next picture I recently found in a thrift store for $5 and, I swear, it looks like new.
I'm sorry that the quality of the photos isn't very good, but I did the best I could. Anyway, I love Romantic Era art. It is so beautiful to me.

I hope that you have a great day today.
God bless,
Elizabeth

Pretty! Sometimes if you stand to the side, you don't get as much of a flash-talking from experience. : )

I love both of your pictures...great finds. BTW - I rarely use a flash for my blogging pictures. I use the museum setting and I think it looks much more real with colors and everything. Just thought I'd mention it cuz it took me a while to find it!!

Wonderful share for us....that one photo of the bride is so pretty...and having this in your master bedroom is a perfect place.

My Show n Tell is posted now, hope you can drop by. It's going to be a 3-parter so it won't take so long for loading.

It seems like your bride print is part of a series. I think it culminates with the married couple having a baby. I like the romantic/Victorian look as swell but our house is so eclectic, just a real mish mash of stuff! I have thought of doing a guest bedroom up with romantic pieces down the road. Gotta get rid of the last kiddo first and I am in NO hurry! The angel print looks fab!

It's so hard to capture a photo of anything covered in glass. You did a good job. Thanks for sharing. Happy Show and Tell Friday!

That artist, British pre-Raphaelite artist Edmund Blair Leighton who painted the wedding picture is one of my favorites! I've got the same picture saved to my computer, just because I love to look at it. What a wonderful gift! I think they are quite expensive to find in print.

Hi Elizabeth! What gorgeous and momentous photos! The second one, I just put in a thrift shop not long ago, and it's selling for $5 too., isn't that too funny? But, I'm in GA...small world! I just had to declutter and I had a hard time parting with her. Well, you take care! Enjoyed your share! Stop by and see me some time for a cup of virtual tea! ;) ~CC Catherine from "Catherine de th`e Cups"
